HOH +

2019

The structure of the piece involved 4 performers, each sitting in different corners of the square with an unique position kept throughout the performance (positions inspired from nature, butoh, pompei dead people, stones, etc)

HOH is exploring the anthropocene concept and the idea that matter, in this case represented by clay, takes charge of the human as time goes by. The performer who was initially in control, ultimately becomes a vessel, manipulated by the matter.

During a 4 hour loop, performers would keep an exact position for 11 minutes after which they would all meet in the middle of the square to apply another layer of clay on a portion of their body. They would then move to a different corner of the square and repeat.

* The other performers in the piece are Stefan Chanyaem, Daisy Eccles and Ed Hubbard.
