It's a sculpture that explores the artist's perspective of life. The notion that life is a balance of good and bad, ups and downs, light and dark and one can't exist without the other.
The events that happened during the pandemic and all the dreams, plans, hopes that got cancelled or maybe postponed, those represent the bad side. But that side is balanced by all the good that came from this situation like having time to work on ideas, learning new skills, having the space to talk to oneself and just overall realising the importance of gratitude over little things.
So, the thought is this: with all the bad things happening in such a short time, will the good compensate one way or another? Is it all about the mindset we choose to have? Which perspective gives us an overall view of both good and bad? Which approach will keep us in balance? Maybe the world will go in a better direction, maybe the things discovered about ourselves will help us evolve as a human being. One thing we should learn from this situation is to keep ourselves open to whatever life brings our way.
